Personal Notes: My father has been racing ever since I was a young child. Some of my best memories are sitting on the top tube of his bike after races. I didn’t catch the cycling bug until I competed in my first cyclocross race when I was 15. I started racing road in 2001 while attending Virginia Commonwealth University. I’ve been teaching health and physical education in the Richmond area since 2006.

Do you train solo or with friend or teammates?
I trained solo for many years. Recently, I have been training with my girlfriend, Erin.

A picture of Fred (my father).

Do you use a razor, electric, or wax?
Razor. . . I hate shaving.

2007 Cyclocross National Championships in Kansas City.
